Experience limitless skiing fun in the Ski & Glacier World Zillertal 3000 with 206 km of perfectly groomed slopes and 65 modern lifts. From December to April, the ski areas Hintertux Glacier, Eggalm, Rastkogel, Finkenberg and Penken/Mayrhofen connect to form a snow-sure paradise. Highlights include the 6 km valley run “Schwarze Pfanne” and the Glacier Circuit with a total of 15,000 vertical meters – unforgettable experiences guaranteed.

Two Illuminated Natural Toboggan Runs

  • Bichlalm (1,695 m): 3 km illuminated track, approx. 45-minute ascent from Hintertux
  • Höllensteinhütte (1,740 m): 4 km illuminated run, approx. 80-minute ascent from Tux-Lanersbach

Cross-Country Skiing in Tux-Finkenberg

28 km of Trails for Classic & Skating Styles

Explore a varied cross-country network in the Tuxertal, with a total of 28 km of trails – 14 km for classic technique and 14 km for skating. The Luggi Gredler Trail stretches over 14 km from Tux-Vorderlanersbach to Madseit and includes 150 meters of elevation gain, making it ideal for experienced skiers. For more relaxed tours, the following trails are perfect: Auen Trail – 2.5 km - easy, Juns Trail – 2.2 km - intermediate, Madseit Trail – 3.5 km - intermediate.

Ice Skating & Curling in Tux-Finkenberg

Winter Fun for All Ages

The natural ice rink in Tux-Lanersbach offers evening skating under floodlights – a real highlight for the whole family. For some friendly competition, four curling lanes are also available. Funparks & Funslopes at the Hintertux Glacier

Action for all ages

In the glacier area, you'll find the Betterpark Hintertux – one of the highest freestyle snowparks in Austria – featuring jibs, kickers, and a superpipe for freestylers of all levels.

The Hintertux Funslope offers excitement for the whole family, with snow waves, steep curves, and two giant snow snails, located right at the Sommerbergalm. For younger guests, the Kidsslope provides a playful introduction to winter sports.

Playarena Tux

Indoor & Outdoor Adventures

The Playarena in Tux offers a 1,200 m² paradise for children and teens: Trampoline park, high ropes course, climbing wall, soft play area, creative zone, cinema, and chill-out lounge guarantee fun in any weather. In summer, the adventure continues outdoors with rafting, canyoning, and themed hikes. Professional childcare is available for kids aged 0–16 years. Off-Piste Powder Adventures

Experience thrilling freeride action at the Hintertux Glacier – a top destination for powder enthusiasts. Challenging descents like the run from the Gefrorene Wand to the valley offer up to 1,750 meters of vertical drop. Even in the depths of winter, the glacier ski area offers the chance to leave first tracks in untouched powder snow – perfect for experienced riders with avalanche gear and off-piste knowledge.

Tuxer Advent

A peaceful Pre-Christmas celebration for the whole family

Every year on the first Sunday of Advent, the village square in Tux-Lanersbach transforms into a magical Advent oasis. Twinkling lights, festively decorated stalls, a farmers’ market with regional specialties, plus mulled wine and punch, invite visitors to linger and enjoy the season. Children can look forward to a varied program, including writing a letter to Santa and the festive St. Nicholas procession. The event is beautifully accompanied by the Tux brass ensemble and traditional Advent music.
